Eleven sports and specialist clubs across Sharjah are set to receive new support for the 2026–2027 sports season.

The directive from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, was announced on 1 November, according to Emirates News Agency WAM.

What the clubs will receive

The package includes new buses, an ambulance, and facilities and equipment for athletes with disabilities.

Why it matters for athletes

Transport and suitable training facilities are part of the everyday support athletes need. Better access to these resources can help clubs prepare their players for competition. For athletes with disabilities, suitable equipment can also support preparation and participation.

The practical value is in giving teams the support they need to train and compete throughout the season.
