There is still time to put Vantage Point 13 on your November culture list. Sharjah Art Foundation’s photography exhibition runs until 29 November 2026 in Gallery 2 at the Photography Gallery, Al Manakh.
What is the exhibition about?
The Foundation’s exhibition introduction describes new commissions by six artists exploring documentary photography. The work considers themes including memory, place and the ways photographs tell stories, using prints and installations as well as different approaches to display.
You do not need to arrive with specialist vocabulary. One useful way to look is to choose a single work, spend a little time with it, then read its accompanying information. Ask yourself what changed once you knew more about the image.
Make it a slower-looking visit
With a friend, try choosing one photograph each before comparing what drew you in. You may notice different details, and that conversation can be more revealing than trying to agree on a favourite immediately.
Use the official exhibition page’s booking link to check current entry arrangements before setting off. The exhibition end date does not mean every related workshop or tour runs daily.
For a separate creative activity, our guide to the children’s collage workshop at Al Madam Art Centre on 8 November covers a session inspired by Vantage Point 13. It takes place at a different venue.
