The 2026 fair’s visitor dates are confirmed. Start with the venue and a short reading list, then check the programme for the day you choose.

Sharjah International Book Fair runs from 4 to 15 November 2026 at Expo Centre Sharjah, according to the organiser’s official visitor page. The venue is in Al Khan on Al Taawun Street.

If you have been waiting for a reason to refresh your reading pile, these are the dates to save. A little preparation can help you leave with books you actually want to read.

Start with three things you want to find

Our suggestion: write down one author, one subject and one book you would like to buy as a gift. Add the language or edition you need. For a specific title, save its ISBN on your phone so you can distinguish between similar editions.

Set a spending limit before browsing and bring a comfortable bag. If you are visiting with friends or family, agree on a meeting point and a time to regroup before everyone follows a different shelf.

Check your day’s programme

Look up opening hours, entry arrangements and any session requirements through the organiser before travelling. An author appearance or workshop may take place only once during the fair; the overall dates do not guarantee that activity on every day.

The visitor site also lists a separate Publishers Conference on 1–3 November. For the public book fair, use 4–15 November when making your plans.

Interested in making and selling publications yourself? A separate opportunity is the Focal Point art book fair open call for UAE artists, which we have covered with its application details.
